Early Stage Funds Dominate $9B Indian Startup Fund Launches in 2025

Indian startups have seen over $9 billion in new fund launches during 2025 so far, with a strong focus on early stage funds targeting seed and Series A investments.

Despite the record $9B in fund launches, actual startup fundraising totalled just $2.1B across 240 deals in Q3, down 38% year-on-year. More than 60% of new fund launches were directed at early stage startups, reflecting rising investor confidence in young companies. Top funds include A91 Partners’ $665M, Accel’s $650M, and Multiples’ $430M, all with significant allocations for early stage investments. Angel, pre-seed, and seed stage funds are expected to capture a majority of investments in 2026, highlighting the continued dominance of early stage funds in India’s evolving startup ecosystem.
