Alienkind Raises $3.2 Million in Pre-Series A to Expand Its Sci-Fi QSR and Wellness Beverage Chain Across India

Alienkind, a Bengaluru-based quick service restaurant and wellness beverage brand, has raised $3.2 million in a pre-Series A funding round, the company announced on Thursday. The round was led by existing investors including Prakash Sikaria, Ravi Iyer - Senior Vice President at Flipkart - and Arpan Sheth, among others.

The fresh capital will be deployed to support Alienkind's next phase of growth, with a focus on geographic expansion into new markets across India.

From Seed to Scale

This is not the brand's first brush with institutional capital. Prior to this round, the Bengaluru-based startup had secured $1.2 million in a seed funding round at a valuation of $10 million in April last year. The pre-Series A at $3.2 million represents a significant step-up, reflecting investor confidence in the brand's traction since launch.

What Alienkind Is Building

Co-founded in 2024 by Vikram Kakkireni and Abhishek Kumar, Alienkind is a next-generation QSR chain specialising in 100% fresh, functional wellness beverages and food offerings such as its Starship burgers.

The brand's positioning is deliberate and differentiated. It targets Gen Z and health-conscious urban consumers by combining minimalist, sci-fi inspired store designs with preservative-free beverages and plant-forward meals. In a QSR market crowded with legacy fast food chains and copycat formats, Alienkind is betting on aesthetic identity, ingredient transparency, and community-driven experiences as its primary growth levers.

The company aims to redefine the QSR experience through immersive spaces, category-defining products, and community-driven experiences.

Targets: 100 Stores and $10 Million ARR

Alienkind has laid out an ambitious roadmap on the back of the fundraise. The company says it is on track to achieve an annual recurring revenue of $10 million by the end of FY27 and plans to expand to 100 stores across major Indian cities by FY28.

Since its launch, Alienkind claims to have gained nationwide attention with its differentiated positioning, competitive pricing, and brand strategy.

Why This Round Matters

The pre-Series A comes at a time when India's QSR sector is witnessing renewed investor interest, driven by a growing urban middle class, rising health consciousness among younger consumers, and the premiumisation of everyday food experiences. Alienkind's dual play - functional beverages combined with a distinctive in-store experience - positions it at the intersection of two high-growth segments.

The participation of a senior Flipkart executive alongside seasoned consumer-sector investors signals that the brand's go-to-market strategy and unit economics are holding up under scrutiny, even at an early stage.

With 100 stores and a $10 million ARR target on the horizon, Alienkind's next 18 months will be its most consequential - and its most watched.
