PM Modi Approves Four Major Schemes Covering Women, Agriculture, Accident Care and Startups

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Seva Teerth complex in Delhi, which will house his new office, and in his first set of decisions from the new premises approved four major schemes spanning women, agriculture, accident care and startups. Among the approvals was the Startup India Fund of Funds 2.0, with a corpus of Rs 10,000 crore aimed at powering the "Next Wave of Innovation" in India's startup ecosystem, with a particular focus on deep tech, early-stage ideas, advanced manufacturing and breakthrough technologies. The Prime Minister also approved the PM RAHAT Scheme, under which accident victims will receive cashless treatment of up to Rs 1.5 lakh, aimed at ensuring no life is lost due to lack of immediate medical help. Separately, having crossed 3 crore Lakhpati Didis more than a year ahead of the original March 2027 timeline, the government set a new target of 6 crore Lakhpati Didis by March 2029. The Agriculture Infrastructure Fund was doubled to Rs 2 lakh crore, aimed at strengthening India's agriculture value chain. Together, the four decisions were framed as touching farmers, women, youth and vulnerable citizens in the first announcements from the Prime Minister's new office.
