Pallavaa Group Announces ₹1,000-Crore Investment in Integrated Textile Manufacturing Facility at PM-MITRA Park
Pallavaa Group has committed an investment of ₹1,000 crore to establish a new integrated textile manufacturing facility at the PM-MITRA Textile Park in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu.
Major man-made fibre (MMF) yarn and fabric manufacturer Pallavaa Group has announced a massive expansion plan, committing ₹1,000 crore toward a new integrated manufacturing facility at the PM-MITRA Textile Park in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu.
The investment marks a vital milestone in the group's strategic growth, significantly scaling up its presence across the entire MMF value chain.
The proposed plant is designed to seamlessly integrate multiple stages of textile production—including spinning, weaving, knitting, and processing—allowing the group to fortify its vertically integrated capabilities. This move arrives as international markets experience a surge in demand for viscose, modal, and blended products driven by global brands seeking reliable supply chains and sustainable alternatives.
The Virudhunagar PM-MITRA Park spans over 1,000 acres and provides state-of-the-art, plug-and-play infrastructure, zero-liquid-discharge water treatment systems, continuous power, and worker housing facilities.
Established originally as a weaving enterprise in 1977 before setting up its initial spinning unit in 1991, Pallavaa Group has continuously prioritized man-made fibres over traditional cotton. Today, operating out of its manufacturing base in Tamil Nadu, the group produces approximately 330 tonnes of yarn daily and supplies sustainable products to clients across more than 40 countries.
Commenting on the expansion, leadership noted that the Virudhunagar project goes beyond simple capacity additions; it extends an integrated framework designed to cater to evolving customer requirements globally. By fusing modern technology, high-volume automation, and sustainable practices—such as utilizing extensive renewable energy—Pallavaa Group aims to cement its status as a trusted partner in the international textile supply chain.
