Navana.ai voice AI funding announcement
Voice AI startup Navana.ai has raised Rs 40 crore (about $4.2 million) in a Series A funding round led by entrepreneur and investor Ronnie Screwvala. The round also saw participation from Antler India, Neysa.ai founder Sharad Sanghi, WestBridge Capital's managing partner Sandeep Singhal, and Paula Mariwala, among other investors. Founded in 2018 by brothers Raoul and Jai Nanavati, Navana.ai builds a sovereign, full-stack voice AI platform for regulated enterprises. The fresh capital will be used to scale deployments among banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) enterprises, advance speech models for Indian languages and dialects, and develop the company's AI Contact Centre and automated evaluation platform. Navana.ai says it has processed more than 100 million voice AI minutes for BFSI clients including Bajaj Finserv, Protean, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Jana Small Finance Bank and Grihum Housing Finance, automating call centre functions across sales, collections, compliance and support. Its proprietary voice AI models currently support 12 Indian languages and 45 dialects. The company has also collaborated with institutions including IISc Bengaluru, IIT Madras, Microsoft Research and the Gates Foundation to advance its speech technology. The latest round follows a Rs 7 crore pre-Series A round raised in July 2025, led by Antler India.
