Chennai-based Deep-Tech Startup Quarkitech Secures Rs 3.5 Crore in Funding
Chennai’s Quarkitech has raised Rs 2 crore in pre-seed funding and secured an additional Rs 1.5 crore grant to advance its hardware-agnostic sensor data compression technology.
Chennai-based deep-tech startup Quarkitech has successfully raised Rs 2 crore in a pre-seed funding round backed by Artha Access and Finvolve. Additionally, the company secured a Rs 1.5 crore grant from the IITM-CDOT Samgnya Technologies Foundation under the government's National Quantum Mission.
Founded in early 2025, Quarkitech specializes in quantum-inspired algorithmic solvers designed to handle large-scale combinatorial optimization. The startup’s core innovation is a hardware-agnostic compression algorithm library capable of reducing sensor data volume by 10 to 100 times without significant loss of critical information. By processing data at the source, the platform allows for efficient transmission within existing power and bandwidth constraints, making it highly suitable for UAVs, satellites, and radar mapping systems.
With laboratory tests demonstrating a 26x reduction in data volume while preserving 98% of essential information, the team is now shifting focus toward real-world deployment. The newly acquired capital will be used to further refine these algorithms as the startup looks to integrate its solution into mission-critical environments where connectivity and power are often limited.
