Google Picks 20 Indian Startups for Its 2026 Google Play Accelerator - From a Smart Cricket Bat to AI Doctors to Rural Commerce

Google has unveiled the third cohort of its Google Play Accelerator India, selecting 20 homegrown startups for a three-month, equity-free programme that provides hands-on support in AI integration, app quality, security, growth, and monetisation. The 2026 cohort - the most geographically and sectorally diverse yet - spans edtech, healthtech, gaming, agritech, fintech, media, and consumer apps, with startups selected from cities including Chandigarh, Mandi, Jaipur, Hyderabad, Nagpur, and Mumbai alongside the usual Bengaluru representation.

The 20 Startups Selected

Chaupal (Chandigarh, 2021) - A regional OTT platform streaming movies, web series, and original content in Punjabi, Bhojpuri, and Haryanvi, available as an add-on channel via Amazon Prime Video Channels.

ChennaiGames (Chennai, 2018) - A mobile game development studio behind titles such as MR RACER, LudoX, and Banger - Football Free Kicks, targeting casual and multiplayer gaming across Android and iOS.

Dalvoy (Delhi NCR, 2025) - An AI-powered edtech startup that acts as a personalised mentor for competitive exam aspirants, creating custom study plans, generating practice questions, evaluating answers, and identifying knowledge gaps.

Frontier Markets (Jaipur, 2011) - A rural social commerce and last-mile distribution platform that connects FMCG, healthcare, financial services, clean energy, and agriculture brands with rural consumers via a network of digitally enabled women entrepreneurs.

GAPE Labs (Bengaluru, 2023) - An AI-first mobile gaming studio combining AI with game development to deliver character-driven multiplayer games for global audiences, including flagship title Arcado Champs.

Grape (Mumbai, 2022) - An AI-native fashion discovery platform combining Pinterest-style inspiration, personal styling, and ecommerce in a single app rather than functioning as a conventional online fashion marketplace.

HeyDoc AI (Mandi, 2020) - An AI-powered healthcare platform offering automated patient interactions, clinical workflows, appointment management, and WellnessGPT - an enterprise AI assistant for patients and healthcare professionals.

Kisanwala (Hyderabad, 2020) - An AI-based agritech platform providing farmers with premium agri-inputs, on-demand farm machinery rentals, commodity price forecasting, crop advisory, soil testing, and financial advisory.

Lingopanda (Bengaluru, 2021) - Formerly PingoLearn, an AI-powered language learning platform focused on spoken English through role-play scenarios, pronunciation practice, and AI-driven speech feedback.

LUZO (Mumbai, 2021) - A beauty and wellness marketplace enabling users to discover, compare, and book appointments at premium salons, spas, and dermatology clinics via a mobile app.

Machaxi (Bengaluru, 2019) - A sports tech platform enabling users to discover, book, and participate in sports activities through a membership-based model covering badminton, football, cricket, swimming, and more.

MetaShot (Bengaluru, 2021) - A mixed reality gaming startup whose flagship product is a smart cricket bat embedded with motion sensors that replicates physical shots inside a virtual cricket game, playable on smartphones, smart TVs, and tablets.

MindYourLogic Studios (Nagpur, 2018) - A studio producing brain-training games, detective stories, riddles, puzzles, and educational animations designed to improve logical reasoning and critical thinking.

Regain (Bengaluru, 2023) - An AI-powered digital wellbeing app that helps users reduce smartphone distractions through strict mode, study mode, focus timers, app usage analytics, and personalised productivity insights.

Swipe (Hyderabad, 2021) - A fintech SaaS platform enabling small businesses to create GST-compliant invoices, collect payments digitally, and manage accounting and GST compliance without dedicated accounting software.

UrbanPro (Bengaluru, 2011) - An edtech platform connecting learners with verified tutors, trainers, coaching institutes, and training providers, supporting the full journey from discovery to live instruction.

Zave AI (Bengaluru, 2023) - An AI-powered shopping assistant that analyses products in real time across ecommerce and quick commerce platforms, providing personalised recommendations based on price, quality, and ratings.

ZET (Bengaluru, 2019) - Formerly OneCode, the startup began as a platform for individuals to sell financial products and has since rebranded into a consumer fintech offering secured credit cards backed by fixed deposits and UPI payments linked to credit cards.

What the Programme Offers

Selected startups receive three months of equity-free support from Google, including direct access to Google Play product and engineering teams, mentorship on AI integration, guidance on app quality and security best practices, growth strategy support, and monetisation frameworks. The programme, now in its third year, has established itself as one of the most credible non-dilutive accelerator opportunities available to Indian consumer app founders.
