Vikram Solar has appointed Hansveen Kaur as its new Head of Marketing, bringing in a marketing professional with two decades of experience across consumer durables, digital platforms, and wellness brands.
Kaur moves to Vikram Solar from her most recent role as Vice President - Brand Marketing at eGenome.ai and B'spoke Wellness, where she led brand strategy across the AI-driven preventive healthcare platform and its personalised nutrition arm.
Before that, she spent two years as Head of Brand Management and Digital Marketing at Voltas Beko. Her career also includes significant tenures at LG Electronics, Videocon, Ingersoll Rand, and Momspresso - giving her a cross-sector marketing profile that spans hardware, digital, and lifestyle categories.
Her move to Vikram Solar marks her first foray into the clean energy space.
The Role and the Moment
The appointment places a marketing veteran at the helm of Vikram Solar's brand function at a strategically important juncture. India's solar sector is scaling rapidly - driven by aggressive government targets, rising corporate renewable energy commitments, and growing consumer awareness around clean power - and solar manufacturers are increasingly investing in brand differentiation to stand out in a market that has historically competed primarily on price and technology.
Vikram Solar, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Kolkata with manufacturing in Gujarat, is among India's leading solar module manufacturers with a significant global footprint spanning Europe, the United States, and Asia-Pacific. As the company scales its presence across utility, commercial, and rooftop segments, Kaur's experience in building brands across complex, multi-audience categories positions her well for the challenge.
Her cross-sector background - from consumer electronics and home appliances to AI-driven healthcare and wellness - brings a consumer-marketing sensibility to a sector where B2B communication has traditionally dominated. At Vikram Solar, bridging that gap between technical credibility and broader brand resonance will likely define her mandate.
