Astrotalk Store Hits Rs 1 Crore Daily GMV, Launches Standalone Gemstones Platform to Fix India's Fragmented Spiritual Commerce Market

Astrotalk Store, the e-commerce arm of astrology platform Astrotalk, has reached a daily GMV run rate of Rs 1 crore and processed 1.6 million orders in 2025 - starting from just Rs 30 lakh in seed investment in November 2024. The company has now launched a dedicated standalone gemstones platform offering lab-certified precious and semi-precious stones with astrological consultation and a replacement policy - targeting a category that remains deeply fragmented due to limited transparency and certification.

Astrotalk Store Hits Rs 1 Crore Daily GMV, Launches Standalone Gemstones Platform to Fix India's Fragmented Spiritual Commerce Market

Astrotalk's e-commerce arm Astrotalk Store has reached a daily GMV run rate of around Rs 1 crore and processed 1.6 million orders in 2025 - a striking milestone for a business that was incubated just over a year ago on a test budget of Rs 30 lakh. The company has now taken its next significant step, launching a dedicated standalone platform for gemstones to build trust and transparency in one of India's most opaque consumer categories.

From Consultation to Commerce

Launched in November 2024, Astrotalk Store sells spiritual and wellness products such as Rudraksha, Pyrite, crystal jewellery, zodiac bracelets, Vastu products, spiritual combos, and yantras. The business was not built on a speculative category bet - it was built on a data advantage. The company attributed the demand for these products to recommendations made during astrology consultations, and said the store was created to offer an organised marketplace with a focus on sourcing and authenticity.

That is a structurally defensible position. Astrotalk already has tens of millions of users seeking astrological guidance - many of whom receive product recommendations as part of their consultations. Converting that intent into a purchase on a trusted, Astrotalk-owned marketplace is a natural extension of the platform, not a diversification.

The Gemstones Platform

Astrotalk has launched a standalone platform for gemstones offering precious and semi-precious stones with lab certification, astrological consultation, and a replacement policy. The move targets a segment that has resisted organised commerce for decades. The company believes the category remains fragmented due to limited transparency around sourcing and certification - two problems that have historically made buying gemstones online a high-anxiety, low-trust experience for Indian consumers who take the astrological significance of stones seriously.

Lab certification, a clear replacement policy, and the credibility of the Astrotalk brand together address the core trust deficit in one move.

The Numbers Behind the Business

The traction is real and the trajectory is steep. Earlier this year, Astrotalk had announced that its e-commerce vertical generated more than Rs 140 crore in revenue in 2025 and was operating at an annualised revenue run rate of over Rs 200 crore. The company had also disclosed an additional investment of Rs 40 crore to scale inventory, strengthen its supply chain, and expand product categories. At the time, Astrotalk Store offered more than 300 SKUs and outlined plans to add another 500 products by FY27.

The company also said it adds more than 30 products every month across categories.

Anmol Jain, co-founder of Astrotalk, said the company has focused on sourcing, merchandising, and new product launches over the past year, and that the dedicated gemstones platform is intended to build customer trust in the category.

GoKwik, which provides checkout solutions to Astrotalk Store, said the brand has recorded consistent growth on its platform and has built an organised online marketplace for spiritual commerce.

The Bigger Opportunity

India's spiritual products market - spanning gemstones, Rudraksha, yantras, Vastu items, and ritual accessories - is enormous, deeply personal, and almost entirely unorganised. The category has historically been dominated by local jewellers, temple trusts, and word-of-mouth recommendations, with no dominant digital player commanding meaningful consumer trust at scale.

Astrotalk Store, backed by the trust users already place in the core astrology platform, is the most credible attempt yet to organise this market digitally. A Rs 1 crore daily GMV run rate - built from Rs 30 lakh in eighteen months - suggests the demand was always there. The question was always whether a platform could earn the trust to unlock it.
